Taking time out to rest has been recommended to mothers as a good means by which they may be able to boost their immune systems.

Busy mothers are told by immunologist and registered medical herbalist Dr Serene Foster that working overtime to look after their offspring could be harming their own general health.

Dr Foster offers some advice on health to any working mothers who find it difficult to take some time out of their hectic schedules in order to relax, rest and recuperate.

She explains that resting is a fundamental way in which the immune system may be boosted.

However, it may not be necessary to try and relax in the family home, as she also notes there are some relaxing activities which may be done elsewhere.

Yoga is suggested as one possible way of working some regular recuperation into an otherwise busy schedule.

The medical expert’s advice on health is aimed particularly at mothers in light of their numerous different commitments over the course of the day.

She notes that these can include a full-time job for many modern women, as well as the traditional duties of getting children ready for school and driving them to the gates.
